Really looking for a solid protonmail alternative. But does maifence or posteo have encrypted mailbox like protonmail has?

Tutanota feels a lot like protonmail. That what's worries me. Even though tutanota have their mail app in f-droid, there is also possibility of them being shady like protonmail behind the scene, since they also didn't release the source code of their server. Tutanota really should differentiate themselves from the likes of protonmail right now more openly, so that they can gain more trust.

I thought that too. But then I got confused about "did they open sourced their server code?" Issue. And also, in f-droid, it says that "This app promotes non-free network services". Doesn't that mean their server is still close sourced like protonmail?
