Voat, what's your controversial opinion? submitted by id to AskVoat

we can argue all day about what feminism once was, but in this day and age - in first world countries like the US - it has clearly been overtaken by a series of professional victims trying to create the next big outrage (manslamming, manspreading, etc). in order to sustain the narrative required...

she's not CEO, but IIRC they said she's still going to be on the board or something like that through the end of the year. she still has a foot in reddit's business.

besides, we're now dealing with the fallout of everybody calling the internet a wretched hive of misogyny and racism because obviously thats why she was fired. /s

point being that to a certain extent posts like this are not necessarily directed at her, but at the media playing the victim card for her and acting like she's some sort of martyr; a champion of women and minorities who squared up against a bunch of privileged young white men and failed. and how all that just proves misogyny and racism are so prevalent and so real and the tech industry is doomed and so forth, just fuel for their endless victimhood narrative.

we'll be hearing about this for years to come, even after pao's mits are long removed from reddit.

Honest question: do toxic players bother you? submitted by Rogerguy123 to LeagueOfLegends

marswithrings 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

it depends on what you mean by toxic.

are we talking general, nondirected toxicity? where they just use lots of offensive language for no particular reason? probably not.

something in between, where they are specifically targeting teammates with abuse? maybe, depending on the context.

Should we just have a heavy music subverse? submitted by wakayoda to Metalcore

/v/allcore is pretty close to what you want. GNi33's complaint about too much of an open season is somewhat addressed there as well since it focuses on -core related genres instead of just "anything heavy"
