TIL research suggests people unconsciously smell their hands after shaking hands with someone, perhaps because we unknowingly extract information from other peoples' scents. submitted by marc5387 to TIL

Not sure if this is what you're implying but unconscious does not have to mean "devoid of consciousness," as in "knocked unconscious." It can also mean "not consciously realized, planned, or done; without conscious volition or intent."

Baby aspirin is actually not intended to be given to babies because it can cause a potentially fatal complication known as Reyes syndrome. Baby only refers to the small dose of baby aspirin. submitted by marc5387 to TIL

I think the name "baby aspirin" was used because initially it was given to babies. It wasn't until the 1970s-1980s that we became aware it could be dangerous for children to use. I think all major companies have switched to "low-dose" but the name "baby aspirin" has stuck around because people just continued to use it out of habit.
