Good.

Acceptance in college should only be on merits and test scores. Not race.

What has been the best corporate Darwin Award? A decision made by a company that basically killed the business. submitted by rahr12341 to AskVoat

macleod2486 0 points 31 points (+31|-0) ago

IIRC it was Sears that basically killed itself.

If we're going with recently, Eddie Lampert , the CEO of Sears is one of the best contenders for the Corporate Darwin Award. He's an Ayn Rand-loving, free-market ideologist who attempted to take his non-reality-based style of life out of the lobbyist/Congress rigged world of hedge funds and into retail. He laid off, cut, and trimmed back everything he could and forced departments, managers, and employees to fight against each other for resources and pay under the delusion that the company would benefit from a survival of the fittest atmosphere. Since that time, Sears has lost half its value in five years and has closed more than half of its stores , not to mention just about destroyed one of the oldest and most trusted brands in the history of the United States.

Do any of you actually not believe the Holocaust took place? submitted by chicoski to AskVoat

Where do I begin.

Chapter 11 of Mein Kampf.

As for the Wansee conference yes, look at the citations within the wiki. From the source you indicated they try to paint as if no one cared about the conference until afterwards, like no one cared but all of a sudden they had to find some kind of secret thing that happened they can point too. Oh the mystery. But within the sources that are within that wiki article it shows that it was very relevant to the higher ups of the regime. The reason why there might be little to no living documents now is because there was an active cover up by Himmler once it was clear that Germany was going to lose the war. The fact that the Germans went out of their way to prove they had no part in the Katyn Massacre that was done by the Russians shows they knew the implications of butchering people en-mass.

Yes according to reports the used a tank engine exhaust to generate the carbon monoxide and according to this table you only need a minimum of 0.16% to kill you within 2 hours and 1% in the atmosphere you're in to kill you in 2-3 breaths. If you're unsure about how carbon monoxide works and why people may a very big deal about making sure your carbon monoxide detectors work try out being in a garage with a large diesel truck idling around and be it in for about an hour or so to be generous. See what happens.

Furthermore for Treblinka and the others that I have mentioned about Operation Reinhard you are forgetting that these sites were stationed as top secret no? Look at the lengths they went to to hide the fact that it was a one way trip. You honestly think that if they didn't do any deception a whole population would be willing to go to their deaths? Also to limit the amount of people who knew at pretty much every single concentration camp only SS people were allowed to be in it. Not to mention the sources you indicated don't even attempt to go against what has been said. Steam chambers? Really? Electric? Where in the hell have they read this? Some dude talking about random shit? Totally good sources.

I can tell you guys til I'm blue in the face over how dumb it is to deny a pretty bad atrocity. Hell even Himmler's diaries have been released but of course like always it "just happened to show up" despite all the evidence pointing up to the contrary.

87-Year-Old Grandma Sentenced to Prison For Saying Auschwitz was Just a Labor Camp submitted by fluxusp to news

A few things about that picture.

  1. Auschwitz was not just a death camp. It was a work camp and a death camp. So you are going to see some living quarters along with the extermination centers. Treblinka was much more of a straight death camp.

  2. The concentration camps were setup in similar fashion to the Gulag system when it came to how they were run and how they were represented. Whenever outside press or people (sympathizers) would come over they would put their best prisoners forward (trusties) to show how well people within the camps are doing. Not to mention they would clean up the camp itself to make it as inviting as possible.

  3. a. Zyklon B was marketed as delousing but it is very harmful to humans since it messes with your respiratory systems and is lethal. b. Zyklon B only accounts for one million of the six million. Many other deaths include being worked to death, random executions, etc.

The gas chambers are there. There's nothing fancy about them. Just an enclosed area. Not rocket science. Enclosed area + poison gas + people = death

Besides think of the practicality. Poison gas was used with disastrous results in WWI. It was not effective in the open field and a simple change of wind would blow that back onto your troops. Much better in closed environments.

According to Carl Jung

"Look at the outcome and infer the intention"

The extermination was accelerated in the later years.
