what conspiracy theory are you sure is at least partly true? submitted by FormerRedditUser to AskVoat

I can't upgoat this enough. Tesla is trying like hell to make batteries better. We NEED better batteries- more storage, more cycles, better charging and discharging rates, and more reliable. THIS is the one true thing (along with maybe solar cell efficiency) that is holding us back from cutting us off from petroleum. We'll never get all the way off of it- we still need it for oils, greases, plastics, etc. But batteries we NEED.

Is anyone else here a multi-instrumentalist? What other instruments do you play, and is guitar your primary? submitted by MrHarryReems to guitar

kirt_connor 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Bass, keys, drums, vocals, harmonica, banjo, mandolin. When I first wanted to learn to play guitar, I started by learning the bass lines of songs I liked, then started building onto that slowly into full chords. I learned piano at a young age, and percussion is constantly a work in progress in keeping time and velocity, but plucking strings seems natural to me now, and I can usually have a stringed instrument sussed out within a day or two... unless that stringed instrument has a bow, then all you're getting is a dying cat sound.

What is 'your' style? submitted by MrHarryReems to guitar

I find you stole the words out of my mouth. This is me almost exactly. A do know some theory and I've got a little jazz to go with it, but I find myself drawn to the blues, and that emotional improv style of playing. I can craft a metal solo but I just feel better when I'm kind of feeling it out... does that make sense?
