This is an animated short from post 2000 - not a catoon per se, there is a gang of biker girls that ride animal themed (morphing?) motorcycles. There is an incident with an oil tanker and then Jesus and Mohamed are killed in the confusion.

Hemingway's book Death in the Afternoon (1932) changed the way I look at bullfighting. It's as much a theatrical tragedy as it is a sport. Most people are just fixated the cruelty though, which is understandable in the modern context. I mean we don't celebrate rat baiting or fox tossing anymore.
