I feel bad for replying to you instead of the parent, but I already deleted his comment.

I'm a new mod here, and I want to point out that I deleted the comments, because they were just asking for up votes without contributing content.

I looked over your links. I see no problem with @PleadingtheYiff and his crowd sourcing project. He is being very open about it, and I would welcome it in the non-investigative forum.

You haven't made a solid connection.

We don't need a charity. This will only expose our private lives and put us in danger. It is also a lot of work.

Also, I don't trust people, who run charities. They aren't held accountable to normal people. Charities are corporations.

:-D Well, I guess that you have nothing to worry about. Apparently, you're allowed to ask for up votes.

I don't understand why the mods are so against asking, when the system allows for it. It's kind of sad.

I see.

Like I said in another response, asking for up votes is a site wide no-no, according to my understanding. I'll go and check.

Posting an "UPVOTE ME" thread is one of the worst faux pas you can make here. It's really simple to make 100ccp with decent comments, so do us all a favor and attain that organically. It's a small price to pay to keep from having an oldfag/newfag split of the users.

Okay. I kind of misread. However, these up vote comments are definitely a violation of the rules, like rule #4. Even if they hypothetically might be within the rules, they do violate the spirit of the rules. I didn't delete them just because of a difference of opinion, or because they were factually incorrect.
