Whether we like it or not, those things are part of who we are as a people. They represent our struggles; our successes and our failures. You can't "fix" our history by taking down a statue, no more than you can change it by building one.

It seems likely to me that the point of their licensing sword smiths in the first place is the preservation of cultural heritage.

In which case requiring authenticity to license you as authentic seems reasonable.

I'm tired of Republicans pulling stunts like this. They expect us to be upset over everything President Obama did, like wearing a tan suit. And yet this warrants nothing from them. If they want hyper-partisanship this is a great way to get it. Clearly there is only one party in this country that cares about governing, and ALL the people who live here. And it is not the Republican party.

As much as I despise Podesta and think he's a criminal, putting your kid up to this is just creepy... kid probably does not know whats up at all.
