El Chapo Puts $100 Million Bounty on Donald Trump submitted by deleted to news

fricknmaniac 0 points 153 points (+153|-0) ago

Trump would never do that.

Because bringing El Chapo to Trump would mean bringing another illegal immigrant into America.

BREAKING NEWS: Prince dies aged 57 at his Minnesota estate submitted by MCVoat to news

Well, if Prince actually is dead, then he'll once again be known as the artist formerly known as Prince.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say that men generally don't buy that magazine, women do. And since their target audience is women, they're going to have covers that do their best to relate to women.

Liberal Trump hysteria surpasses Salem witch trials submitted by Joker68 to TheDonald

fricknmaniac 7 points -7 points (+0|-7) ago

Meh, it still hasn't surpassed the 8 year hissy fit that Republicans threw during Obama's terms.

But damn if the Democrats aren't trying their best to top it.

It's too bad this has become the new norm in politics.

Nate Silver is a joke. submitted by macredsmile to politics

fricknmaniac 8 points -6 points (+2|-8) ago

Am I missing something here? Outside of the ones when Trump's candidacy was still thought my many to still be a joke, what's wrong with any of those headlines?

If you want only articles from sources that praise Trump 100% of the time, then just remember that reddit is trying to do the same thing with Bernie Sanders (and will switch to Hillary Clinton if/when she officially becomes the nominee).

How Repulicans And Polls Enable Trump

Actually a very interesting in depth look at the reaction to Trump's more bombastic comments.

Donald Trump Is Really Unpopular With General Election Voters

A look at Trump's high disapproval rating with general election voters compared to other candidates.

The Republican Party May Be Failing

Actually a really interesting analysis of the dynamics of the Republican party right now.

What Would the Republican Race Look Like Without Trump?

Published after Trump skipped a debate, speculating how a race might look based on the debate without Trump.

Donald Trump Comes out of Iowa Looking Like Pat Buchanan

A very good analysis and comparison because the same fucking thing happened to Pat Buchanan in Iowa.

Why Iowa Changed Rubio's and Trump's Nomination Odds So Much

A reasonable analysis of Rubio doing so well in Iowa and Trump not doing so well.

The Pope Is Way More Popular than Donald Trump

Relevant because this was when Trump criticized the Pope's comments about walls and this article analyzed where Trump would stand among Catholics and if it mattered.

Can Republicans Still Take the Nomination Away From Trump?

Not sure you'd have a complaint about this since half of the front page (note, this is an exaggeration) of /v/politics is probably articles about the establishment trying to take the nomination away from Trump.

Donald Trump Would Be Easy to Stop Under Democratic Rules

Yes, Super Delegates. And I've seen plenty of speculation that the Republicans may introduce Super Delegates after this primary, so this article is perfectly legit.

Ted Cruz Might Still Be Able to Stop Donald Trump

Literally the sub-headline of the article is: "All he needs is for Rubio to drop out three weeks ago."

So what is your problem exactly? That's he's analyzing Trump's position accurately? That you feel he's posting too many negative articles? (Because he's not, it's just you can't be bothered to read past your interpretation of the headline).

Maybe you should look at all the 538 articles where he talks about Trump's success.

Sanders: Trump trying to scare middle class submitted by Captain-Nutsack to politics

fricknmaniac 6 points -3 points (+3|-6) ago

I support Bernie, but he's trying to scare the poor just as much as Trump is trying to scare the middle class, so he's not exactly in the best position to talk.

Fear brings people out to vote. It works and that's why politicians use it.
