Anyone want to discuss the best languages/libraries for making rogue likes? submitted by freddy_ to roguelikegamedev

+1 I believe libtcod has the most features of any library I've found, but I just didn't enjoy coding in it so now I'm using some mediocre java library, but I'm more productive using it

Your two most recently played video games were just combined into one game. What's it like? submitted by VanGoghingSomewhere to gaming

Minecraft + Battlefield 4. Randomly generated maps with all out vehicle warfare... You have to build your own weapons and raid enemy bases (villages) to survive

If it comes out good that'd be pretty damn cool, what kind of worlds are you generating?

Being able to tweak it is a big plus, and this sounds even more awesome with a PoE type world. No need to share it unless you want to though :)

Sounds good, I'm sure you could get some decent feedback between here, /v/gamedev, and /v/roguelikes
