It's actually quite terrifying they can fully justify the stalking and harassment of a pregnant woman because they don't like the idea that she posted in FPH. The hypocrisy is like a tidal wave.

I read this theory the other day and it seems plausible. There was a mod from a medium/large sized sub that thinks this is exactly what they are doing. It's a way to convince investors they can contain the community when the debate/discussion gets ugly. They would have used the FPH ban to invoke ire and then demonstrated how quickly they could contain the avalanche of negative responses.

Let's ban everything we don't like!

Exactly! I think we've learned to accept some graceful degradation as well as the IE line getting better especially with 10 and 11.

Who would do a better job? What group of people are immune to corruption? I think we shouldn't be so quick to demonize the people who put themselves in harms way to protect society. They are not perfect. There might even be a higher incidence of corruption but we have to have better solutions to life's problems than all of these continual witch hunts for the next bad guy. Why don't we spend more time talking about how to make the job of policing more immune to corruption. Because sensationalism captures the imagination that's why.
