The title is a little misleading. It's saying that food-addicted people may appear normal weight either due to better genetic ability to handle calories or by compensating with exercise. They're not saying that all normal weight people are that way due to genetics, nor are they saying that fat people cannot become normal weight. I guess they are saying that it's easier for some people than others to maintain a normal weight, but that seems plausible.
