Trump Security Kicks Univision Reporter Jorge Ramos From Press Conference For Not Waiting His Turn To Ask A Question submitted by erowidtrance to news

erowidtrance 4 points 138 points (+142|-4) ago

Typically I've seen some on the left immediately say Trump is evil and racist for doing this despite the fact Ramos was entirely in the wrong. He's not even enough of a professional journalist he can wait to be called like everyone else. If anything else it's just disrespectful to those who are waiting their turn.

Ramos even came in later and got to ask more questions than anyone else which frankly was pretty generous of Trump after his childish behaviour.

So what do you guys think about opening up /r/european again? submitted by RamblinRambo to European

erowidtrance 6 points -2 points (+4|-6) ago

People are saying keep it open for achieve purposes but close off submissions. Look, I hate to tell you guys but this voat thing is not looking too promising. The "visiting now" numbers are not accurate. This sub is down to 6k views a day. On reddit we were getting 70k. That's a huge difference.

If you want to close /r/european off to submissions you're effectively killing that sub and relying entirely on this one. Only a small proportion of people moved here from reddit and the numbers actually sticking around seem to be declining by the day. This is not a good scenario. We will likely end up with 1 dead sub and 1 sub that's barely active in comparison to where /r/european was.

As much as people dislike reddit it's a far bigger site with far bigger potential even if we're quaratined. Voat may eventually pick up but right now it is 0.5% of the size or reddit. Do people seriously want to put all their eggs in voat?

Look at it per day not as a whole. There were 20k views at the beginning when all the focus was on /r/european being quarantined. It has declined since then every day to now 6k. /r/european as I said was on 70k a day average.

Wow, what a childish prick you are. Banning me from the subs I helped make. You're too dumb to make intelligent arguments so you throw your weight around.
