I don't like censorship, I can understand curating a certain demographic through dissuading shitposting and needlessly aggressive and hateful behavior. Making people be respectful to each other when giving opinions, but not enforcing ideological narratives, free thought ruling but through a constructive way that does not silence people's viewpoints. There are a myriad of ways to do this without stepping on too many toes, but the bottom line is that when people decide to attack platforms when they become inconvenient, I refer to this quote

China is working on a hyperloop style transport that could reach 1800 mph (x-post from /v/hyperloop) submitted by Ken_Trough to technology

Considering the construction and safety standards by most chinese companies, there's going to be a lot of problems. A failure at 1800mph is going to cause a lot of damage, and probably kill everyone aboard.

The Death of the PC Has Not Been Greatly Exaggerated submitted by millsdmb to technology

I've been hearing this crap for 20 years, adding niche devices simply spreads out the userbase, it doesn't eliminate it. No matter how advanced a mobile device becomes, even if it reaches parity with the best PCs(which isn't even possible), none of that will matter. Until there is a way to interface with a mobile device at the same level or better than a PC, such as a keyboard/mouse or any HID, PCs will always exist.

No kidding, ever since I've installed adblock/ublock on every machine I've worked on, I haven't needed to use a malware remover in years.
