The CLOUD Act would let cops get our data directly from big tech companies like Facebook without needing a warrant. Congress just snuck it into the must-pass omnibus package. submitted by Kannibal to technology

Exactly. Any "must pass" bill is actually a "must throw in the trash and start over" bill. Not only that, but each piece needs to end up in its own bill.

The Democrats will allow such talk in the media just as soon as they're able to ban effective weaponry...

Fucking criminals in congress trying to censor the internet. I've always said how the fight against "human trafficking" is evil because it's aimed squarely at consensual behavior. It's just marketed better now that most people are against criminalizing prostitution.

Recently there was an article on that place that shouldn't be mentioned about the amount of "sex trafficking" that pops up around stuff like the Super Bowl. Well one of the mindless sheep responded, "like slave auctions and shit?". Rather than saying how ridiculous that is, the other person responded fucking "yes". Yet the article they posted CLEARLY stated it was talking ab out consensual prostitution (the kind that should be legal) and mislabeling it "human trafficking".

There isn't a human trafficking epidemic, there's an epidemic of stupid people getting tricked into throwing their rights away in yet another scared ignorant panic.
