What do you expect from an OS that's a botnet?

Meet Voat, the website that wants to be the anti-Reddit - CNET submitted by Rychek4 to MeanwhileOnReddit

Eh fuck CNET anyway, they're a malware company.

Also if Reddit is banning discussion of illegal activities is /r/trees closing down? They would lose a fuckload more users if they actually enforced that.

A former /v/askvoat mod (Stoic) is doing an AMA about the "She situation" submitted by lllllllllll to MeanwhileOnReddit

She requested mod power.

Number 1 rule I had as mod of TiA: never mod anyone who asks to be a mod. They almost always want that position for all the wrong reasons. Instead I invited people to be mods when they were good active members of the community. Which worked well until I left and a bunch of mods were added who basically censor everything they dislike, but that's the theme on Reddit now it seems.

Online cheating site AshleyMadison.com hacked. Hackers threaten to reveal full details of all site users unless site is permanently taken offline. submitted by setitimer to technology

I don't see how. It's better to know your partner is cheating than it is to keep being lied to.

Ghost Rank is off by default, you have to opt-in. It's always been this way.

When you run through the settings after install it asks if you want it on or off. Default is off. I have used Ghostery for years and it has always been this way. If you had to go into the settings to turn it off you probably clicked the wrong thing by accident when you set it up.
