It's Officially Law - No More Personal Belief Exemption for Vaccines in CA submitted by thehumungus to news

Oh wonderful... Any time freedom of choice is infringed upon like this, there is an underlying cause for the problem they are trying to fix. And, as always, we will continue to treat symptoms instead of identifying and curing the root cause.

To be clear, if a vaccine is safe, there is no reason to push back. MY problem lies with the fact that big-pharm has a history of not giving a shit when they pump into us as long as they make their money.

It would make me feel better if the government agency that currently handles this stuff actually did their job. The FDA is a joke.

Edit: "Or do you want to return to the glorious days of rampant polio and measles?" is a fallacious statement worded like a question.

Artificially Intelligent Robot Tells Creator It Will Keep Humans "In a People Zoo" submitted by brody9311 to news

deathcomesilent 1 points 68 points (+69|-1) ago

I gotta be honest, this strikes me as being really gimmicky.

Unless this machine just found those phrases online somewhere: the machine either understands emotional sentiment (which would mean humans are old news), or its creator endowed it with some funny pre-programed answers for interviews. If we're being realistic I think a human with a sense of humor is more likely, than a robot with a sense of human.

First nutrition class today, first fat logic submitted by Raylan to fatpeoplehate

Except that vaccines did cause autism, up until they stopped using mercury in the solutions.

This situation is more akin to a doctor from the early 90's recommending early-childhood vaccination.

Big talk from a month old account.

I'll be back to have a discussion with you when you formally apologize for the ad hominem that (ironically enough) characterizes reddit.

US elementary school does away with gendered bathrooms submitted by Voat_a_Goat_Mamma to news

deathcomesilent 6 points -4 points (+2|-6) ago

See, you're being bigoted. (unless you forgot the ol' /s tag) You assume that the person you responded to is worried exclusively about women being raped.

On a side note, you cant legally have cameras inside a public bathroom. That means they put them right outside the bathroom doors. This means that any rape involving both genders, would be borderline hear-say because both people would have an excuse for going in and out of that room without cameras. It's a lot harder for someone to justify entering the other gender's bathroom.

All things considered, I don't care that much. Ad unisex bathrooms in a public place, I'll just hold my business until I find a room meant for the junk between my legs.
