The ‘Reddit exodus’ is a perfect illustration of the state of free speech on the Web submitted by Atko to news

If this isn’t enough free speech, what is?

This just in: Caitlin Dewey hates America.

How do I explain to my friend why he is a SJW? submitted by PoopToaster to AskVoat

cthulhuandyou 0 points 23 points (+23|-0) ago

Use the Socratic method. Just ask him as many questions as you can. Get him to explain his views in excruciating detail. It's not guaranteed to work, and if he's been brainwashed into this hard he'll likely just double down and get angry. Hopefully, though, you can use it to have him expose to...

Voat, what are some niche subverses that don't have much attention? submitted by Jermaine to AskVoat

cthulhuandyou 0 points 22 points (+22|-0) ago

Shameless self-plug for /v/asksciencefiction. It's basically AskScience, but with all questions and answers using in-universe information rather than meta things like "It's a plot device to make this thing happen".

Also /v/discworld is open to everyone except mimes.

What are your thoughts on new subverse rules? Should they be voted on by the community? submitted by deleted to AskVoat

cthulhuandyou 1 points -1 points (+0|-1) ago

A simple survey would suffice.

You clearly haven't been on the internet long.

Just because you like your way doesn't mean it's the best way. Stop acting like anyone who thinks differently from you is a neanderthal (and stop going around to every single post commenting multiple times about this voting thing) and maybe people will take you seriously.

If someone considers that too difficult they should be removed from their moderator duties due to incompetence and mental inability

Seems pretty clear cut to me.

You're gonna want to remove the space between "post" and "*" to get it italicized.

You mean like I did immediately upon realizing that my cursor had been a simple one character out of line and well before you even replied?

Also, I've commented in one other post concerning this issue and it was to a mod. Calm down kiddo.

You're correct, it was only one post and I did jump the gun there. However, it wasn't only to the mod, you pushed the voting thing on two different comment threads in that post, so I feel like some of my point still stands.

The fact that you think they don't, coupled with the fact that you don't, is utterly laughable and made my morning. Thanks bud!

Cause this post and those other comments have gone so far. Straight to the top. Right.

Why isn't the official Pokemon Center online store bigger, or better stocked? submitted by Ladygnome to pokemon

cthulhuandyou 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

I'd say it's mostly just that Nintendo doesn't seem to have a clue how to stock merchandise outside of Japan. It's not only the Pokemon franchise that this is a problem in; look at how they're handling Amiibos here in the States. There are places that will get dozens or even a couple hundred preorders for a specific Amiibo, then Nintendo will send the store 30 and a ton of orders get cancelled.
