Is this election cycle showing that America is tired of establishment parties and politics? submitted by Drakinor to politics

I think everybody has known the system is broken for a long time. Now people are seeing it as less of a joke and more of a problem that could affect them.

So what's going on with Voat? Been away for a couple of months, and now it seems everyone is being rude and negative? submitted by SuperImaginativeName to AskVoat

After the Pao stuff, we got the FPHers and then all the hate subs. This influx of hate sent most of the decent voaters running for the hills. I can understand why. Good people don't want to be associated with that level of hate, and the new users just want to blast that vitriol everywhere, even at the supporters of speech freedoms. Still, for those of us who vowed to never go back, we try to continue with our voating, blocking offensive subs and disengaging from baited arguments when necessary.

Americans of Voat, in your opinion, what should our media be covering (news-wise) instead of same-sex marriage? submitted by Phader to AskVoat

I think we all know that it is not our media.

Yeah, these past couple of waves changed the landscape a bit. Blocking the offending verses was a great option, but the users are still around which is I guess what we will have to put up with. It's still not enough for me to return to that other.
