It's called The Rape of Proserpina, by Lorenzo Bernini. I saw it at the Galleria Borghese a few years ago. Fucking outstanding how life like it is. If you have never heard of Bernini, I highly suggest reading about his life and to look up his other works.

Years ago during the Quebec ice storms in Canada, the CBC quoted a woman on TV as saying she wishes there was more she could do to help the victims of the storm. My younger sister who is fluent in french goes "that's not what she said, she said that she wishes the bank machines worked so she could more money and get the hell out of here" lol

Now that all the planeswalkers have been spoiled for origins, what are everyone's thoughts? submitted by squanchy to magictcg

Every set I look forward to a decent mono red planeswalker; I don't play red much mind you but I really wish they would print a good Chandra. Otherwise as a white player I am really happy with Gideon - a 2/1 for {w} with no downside other than being legendary is pretty decent in my books.

A stunning example of Lego as a learning tool.

Why do people like Lego City stuff? submitted by Aboresh to LEGO

I love the city lego because I love the miniature town in Beetlejuice, and I always wanted to do something similar of my small home town but with Lego.
