What is the cheapest way of having fun you have discovered? submitted by scrotumranger to AskVoat

Anything that's accessible and stimulates the creative part of your brain is endless fun. Minecraft is another obvious choice, and if you like space stuff then Kerbal Space Program is an amazing timesink.

I love the kind of games that are endlessly replayable too, like a good roguelike (Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is my favourite and is free), ARPGs like Diablo 2/3, or competitive games like Quake Live.

Buying games on the Steam Summer Sale and then never playing them

How I feel after giving 1000 upvoats. submitted by Magnar to pics

Yeah, I love it too. I was terrible at upvoting on the other place (always forgot to do it, even on submissions/comments I really liked) and I can tell this will definitely keep me clicking that up-arrow as I'm a sucker for seeing numbers go up.

Between the upvoat counter and the inability to downvoat to begin with I really like the way things are set up on voat. I will keep the upvoats coming!

Fantastic idea for a sub - I'm a huge nerd for old OSs. Count me in.

Definitely - for me it's a combination of seeing results (weight loss and muscle tone in my case) and seeing improvement in how far/fast/often I can run. I started out in December barely able to run 1k without stopping, and now I run 5k+ four times per week, with my longest run having been 8.5k and I have a 10k coming up in September. Using RunKeeper has been a great motivator for me, it's a great feeling seeing those numbers go up.

Cheesecake. I don't even have a massive sweet tooth but I could have cheesecake (baked, with a biscuit base) for dessert every day I think.
