Feminism Takes a Life submitted by EarlPoncho to whatever

anotherdamnartist 1 points 28 points (+29|-1) ago

I'm not really seeing evidence she was a feminist in this post. If her biggest wish was to "settle down and have a family", the tweet reads more like something stupid said out of anger/depression. Besides the fact 'nice guys' or 'white knights' or whatever you want to call them are usually feminist cucks

That would be someone approaching her every 23 seconds...

Wouldn't this violate Indiana's castle doctrine? You allowed to shoot someone if they're breaking into your home.

Trump prevents China from killing our solar power industry and Mexico from dumping cheap washing machines in the US. submitted by Dfens to technology

I'm going to disagree with the tariffs--they're a form of protective socialism. The solution isn't raising taxes, even if it's not your citizens. The solution is lowering taxes on that industry in your country (even better, across the board). That would be free market capitalism. But the tariffs are better than doing nothing and I'm not sure I believe we'll ever get to a lower 'fair tax' type situation anymore.

Tariffs put businesses in a bubble which, in the long run, damages them. We don't have the highest GDP in the world because our citizens buy the most; we have the highest GDP because everyone buys and uses the things we create. If you use tariffs to protect an industry, it will only sell within your country. Other countries will still be buying elsewhere, lowering our GDP, decreasing jobs, and hurting the economy. The reason 'everything' is made in China is 1) Less regulations and 2) Lower taxes. Their manufacturing tax rate is 15% to 25% depending on if the Chinese gov sees it as an enterprise to encourage. Ours is fucking 40%. You want things to be made here? Lower taxes. Socialism is evil and will destroy our counrty, however positive the intent behind imposing its policies.

9-11 has contributed a lot to this website, it sounds like he's just supporting a back up / alternative just in case. This all seems like a massive over reaction. Why does it matter? I'm genuinely curious
