This seemed too ridiculous to be true so I checked it out. It's goddamn true: http://clinton3.nara.gov/WH/EOP/First_Lady/html/generalspeeches/1998/19981117.html

Pretty sure this is bullshit, but either way, citation needed.

Edit: reverse image searched it but couldn't find a source.

The mining waste water spill in Colorado was predicted by a geologist long before it happened. He said the spill would be used as a "superfund campaign" for the EPA submitted by Grizmoblust to news

The newspaper appears to be a small town newspaper which publishes only in hard-copy, which is why the website is pretty bare-bones. It does nonetheless look legit. The paper is owned by some historical society.

In that /r/Libertarian link there's an update saying that the editor of the newspaper has confirmed the letter was published. Someone also called them and spoke to them and says its real (though appears to be a one-man operation, which isn't uncommon for a small town newspaper). It's also not uncommon for bigger news sources to take a day or so to publish something. At this point it's looking fairly legit overall - though I think a statement from the geologist (or at least a check to see if they are actually a geologist, while keeping their anonymity) is in order.

I've been a Microsoft fanboy for over a decade. And with the Windows 10 debacle, I installed the latest version of Ubuntu on my Thinkpad and LOVE it! submitted by xaric to technology

"This'll get more upvotes if I lie and say I'm a MS fanboy!!!1 >_<"

Only a moron would downgrade to Linux from Win 10. Win 7 is still awesome and, unlike Linux, actually works.

The irony of of an article about critical thinking linking to a lecture by Krauss, one of the most deluded acolytes out there.

He's an acolyte and deep believer in the delusional worldview known as scientism, and the belief system which has grown up around it.
