Fuck it, I'll just copypaste the table here:

edit: I made a terrible unit conversion. The initial estimate was off by three orders of magnitude. (conversion of g/mL to kg/L should be the SAME, not 1:1000.) Apologies. :( I've fixed the data and conclusions.

I happen to have an exorbitant amount of time on my hands, so I did some quick Googling and here's what I came up with, sorted in a table for your viewing pleasure and complete with citations. I chose Brachiosaurus, because it's a huge leaf-eater.

Apologies if this thing fucks up the formatting.

Thing Amount Unit Method Comments
Brachiosaurus food consumed per day 300 kg wikipedia median est.
Tree growth per year (total volume) (fastest varieties) 35466.67 L/year fs.fed.us (rough conversion of 532m^3/ha divided by 15 years and converted to liters)
Leaf growth per year (fastest varieties) 21280 L/year onlinelibrary.wiley.com leaf:mass::1.5:1
Tree density 0.9 kg/L fao.org calculated average
Biomass produced per tree per year (dinosaur-edible) 19152 kg calculated
Trees needed for 1 brachiosaurus 0.02 trees calculated
Min. area for 1 healthy tree 5.76 m^2 fs.fed.us (no significant difference <5 years growth; optimizing for short term biomass)
Area needed to sustain 1 brachiosaurus for 1 day 0.09 m^2 calculated About 2/3rds a volleyball court.
Area needed to sustain 1 brachiosaurus for 1 year (inc. leap) 32.95 m^2 calculated A little more than half the size of Manhattan Island.
Area needed to sustain 1 brachiosaurus indefinitely 164.77 m^2 calculated Based on 5-year rotating tree planting. Little less than half the area of Dublin.
Brachiosaurus adulthood age ~30 years dinosaurs.about.com based on estimated 100 year lifespan and maturation at 3/10ths full age
Leafmass consumed during brachiosaurus lifespan 3287250 kg calculated About a Space Shuttle and a half (>2000 tons), or half a Virginia submarine.

Anyway, the answer to your actual question:

164 square meters per brachiosaurus, for indefinitely-sustainable farming.

TL;DR: For a farm full of foliage-feeders, you're gonna need an Alaska. a regular farm will do just fine!

Reddit moderators want to set up "approved" subverse system, by requiring subverses to add established reddit mods as Voat moderators. submitted by AustNerevar to MeanwhileOnReddit

It's tricky because not all redditmods are shitmunchers. We don't want to pre-empt a bunch of awesome content because of bad blood.

Urgh. Ain't that always the way? Sorry to hear about it, man. But hey. You're in better hands, now. Softer, more sensual hands.

I'm all for justice, but I'm disappointed by this result. It'd have to be on the order of $276 million to come anywhere close to fucking her. Remember that her husband stole >$100,000,000 in a Ponzi scheme and only got hit with $3 million in legal feels.

It hasn't died. It's just undergone a hideous mitosis into a brood of identical, homogeneous sub-industries. Each one does the exact same thing:
