Head of the Womens March is mad that 22 states don't allow Sharia Law submitted by Howie to politics

Muslims who call for Sharia should be deported. They are calling for the subversion of the secular rule of law by theocratic tyranny.

I created my account here early last year, but the problems are twofold:

  1. Do I put up with the lack of content and hostile environment here for freedom of speech?

  2. Or do I put up with the censorship and ad-raping on Reddit for the content?

Like it or not, Voat just doesn't have the userbase to support the content it needs to truly compete with Reddit yet. You can circlejerk all you want about the "pussies" who "take it in the ass" on Reddit and how you're so much cooler than they are... but then when they come over from Reddit just so they can finally have some semblance of free speech, you Voat cunts group together and gangbang them with your collective disdain and limited vocabulary.

Look, I want it to work here. I fucking hate what Reddit has become. I've seen Reddit transition from the Wild West glory days of anarchy and free speech to the dickless, thought-crime, corporate whore, police state it now is. But whining like a clique of bitchy schoolgirls isn't going to ensure the magical success of your online glory hole.

So if you can manage to pull your dicks out of each other's mouths for a few minutes and maybe create an environment where people actually want to start conversations and post content, maybe the quality of your little whore house will gradually improve and we can sit back and watch Reddit die the fool's death it deserves.

I remember the disorientation when coming here from Reddit long ago. There's a whole slew of self-censorship you have to filter your thoughts through over there... there's pressure from the groupthink, and there's always fear of being banned for saying something unacceptable. Over here it's like the Wild West of speech - it's anarchy, where everyone is quick-drawing and saying whatever they want. But once you acclimate, it is almost impossible to go back to Reddit.. and I was on Reddit for 9 years.

I think so many people want the comfort of the group, and the safety of control - that there's always an authority to protect you. But in the Wild West, everyone has to protect themselves. Carry your own gun and stand on your own two feet.

I believe everything everyone says on the internet... especially if it confirms my cognitive biases.

The Nazi bogeyman is a phenomenally effective tool in controlling what political ideologies people support, and the holocaust tale is what's holding the entire tool together. submitted by TAThatBoomerang to European

So I guess the millions of Jews missing from the post-war European census numbers just magically flew away to Jewland! I mean, most countries closed their doors to Jewish immigration during the war, so there was nowhere for them to go. I know! It was the Jewish rapture! The messiah finally came and raptured millions of Jews away!
