'Empire' Flops Overseas as Foreign Viewers Resist Hollywood's Diversity Push submitted by CANCEL-CAT-FACTS to news

Look, the statement wasn't a about specific shows, nor an invitation to regurgitate your particular likes and dislikes.

It was about complex season long plot lines, sometimes multi-season, vs episode at a time series where nothing much carries over from one episode to the next, let alone one season to the next.

The former represents a commitment on the part of the viewer. The latter is simply entertainment. (And no, I'm not going your route and listing examples. You can figure it out).

No one knows why the Rio Olympics diving pool has mysteriously turned green submitted by peepulwatcher to news

Walrea 6 points -5 points (+1|-6) ago

Oh for pete sake there is no story here.
There are two pools, (one of the shots on that page shows both of them at the same time.)

One has a blue liner, the other a green. Its as simple as that. One is a race pool, the other is a diving pool.
