New study into lack of women in Tech: It's NOT the men's fault submitted by monkeypuzzle to news

I am 50 and although encouraged at school to take more math courses, I took office oriented ones like my friends. I wish I would have emulated that one girl in the senior class who went into computer science. My daughter is currently working on her engineering degree....revenge indeed. :)

'I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you don't think Apollo 11 landed on Moon you are a colossal nob end & should get a new brain' submitted by cheesypoofs_andpinot to news

I agree with Neil's comment that if they hadn't landed on the moon, the Russians would have outed them by now.

Thanks for posting such calm and sensible comments. I've given up with /v/news. Last article I'm reading, last set of comments. Carry on the good fight @jjevil. :)

And for the other parents were migrants from a country that people hated. Canada opened it's arms to them, and they raised very canadian children. Xenophobia is no way to improve the world condition,

Voat! Can we please start marking things with a NSFW tag! submitted by Guide to AskVoat

Wafflebutt 2 points -1 points (+1|-2) ago were so calm in your responses above and I was wondering how you stayed so patient. :)

People just don't like being given orders, and there has been a bit of a pushback lately to the newer users asking for changes. Not that many have been here at all very long....and not that some ideas aren't good. It's just that there were a lot of suggestions over the past few weeks and not all of them were as nicely phrased as yours.

If the mods start to suggest this to people, it might catch on. It's a good idea....and if others agree, it will come into it's own soon.
