Its unconstitutional to ban the homeless from sleeping outside, the federal government says submitted by FinnTheHuman to news

Good. It's about time we take care of our homeless. Pretending that our vets, our youth, and our mentally ill homeless don't exist doesn't solve any problems for anyone.

When ASOIAF is concluded, who do you believe will be sitting on the Iron Throne? submitted by Magnar to asoiaf

No one. I think the books will result in a complete dissolution of the kingdom.

Mods don't own a community, they moderate. We need a mechanism for communities to remove broken or abusive mods. submitted by KanakaHaole to ideasforvoat

This is why I'm fine with the idea that moderators should own communities. If mods run a community into shit, the community can rally and just create a new one ran the way they want.

Otherwise every community is going to be run by majority rules. Imagine if people who aren't invested in your community got a say on how it was run. That'd be lunacy.

If you don't like a sub, leave. Start a new one. Make it better than the old one and out grow it.

r/punchablefaces mods kicked and replaced with SWJs submitted by volkswgn to KotakuInAction

Top mod decided to wash his hands of the sub and added /u/Flytape from /r/conspiracy and /u/agentlame from the Fempire. Whoever got there first got the sub.

Agentlame got there first. There's no conspiracy of SRS toppling the sub.

Mods can do what they want with their subs. That's the whole point of a free market of ideas. If the userbase doesn't like what the sub has become, they should go create /r/truepunchablefaces or /r/facesthatneedpunching

Wait, are you arguing that /r/punchablefaces should be banned? For what reason?
