Regal Cinemas announces bag checking policy before admission due to recent shootings, many believe this is the company's excuse to regulate snacks brought in submitted by BillShakespeare to news

is that really going to stop a shooter? won't it just... start the rampage a little sooner?

"Sir, I'm going to need to inspect your bag... is that an AR-15?"

"Whoops, you caught me!"

"Oh you! Get on out of here!"

Man, I worked at a theater. Didn't pay NEARLY enough to make me search folks.

I just can't back a man who values the illusion of security over actual liberty. I'll eat all the popcorn I can get my hands on watching him shake up the GOP, but I can't support him when he says shit like this.

First off yeah, Abolish it. Nobody wants a draft. Nobody wants to BE drafted, or see their loved ones drafted. And the military doesn't want draftees who don't want to be there. Get rid of it.

Frankly I think everyone's an asshole here.

the parents seem to have gone overboard, but guess what, I sucked at nearly everything gym class covered. Not out of fatness, I'm just not well suited to (or at all interested in) traditional sports, and you know what? I could not possibly have wanted to be there less than I did. Gym was my absolute least favorite class to be in. I even hated math less.

So I got a deal for the gym teachers and coaches out there. Let the people who suck at sports stop playing, if they don't wanna play. THEN you can be an ass to whoever's voluntarily left and I won't give a shit.

Not surprised. Linux still has a long way to go for the non hardcore user experience. It's ideological purity hampers it's effectiveness
