Check out Hyperion and The Fall Of Hyperion by Dan Simmons. I couldn't stop reading them once I started. Endymion and The Rise of Endymion are books 3 and 4 of the saga and are equally awesome.

Have a picture of fuzzy kittens for your kindness and also congratulations.

Hello there everyone. Another Redditor here (8 years) jumping ship. I already like the look and feel of this place and I'm actually really excited to start fresh and help build something great, submitted by Thoughtninja to introductions

Absolutely understandable. It's a bit different for me personally though. I was a Digg user up until 2007 when I found Reddit and defected. Digg was already starting to show the cracks in it's foundation. I still browsed there off and on for a few weeks to a month after until I finally abandoned it altogether. With Reddit everything was pretty much fine from my early days until about a year or two ago. Things just started to worsen over that period of time and basically I've been barely finding reasons to stay. The current situation just gave me the final push to find something else. So I'll probably browse a few things here and there but my experience with the Digg transition tells me my time there is fleeting.

I have some ground beef that is 2 1/2 weeks past the sell by date, but it is still bright pink and doesn't smell funny. Do you think it is OK to eat? submitted by JJEvil to AskVoat

Wait so you're saying you bought it, let it sit in your fridge for 2 1/2 weeks pass the sell by date, then froze it, and are now wondering if you can eat that?

Well yea you can eat it if you really want to. Is that wise? Definitely not.
