I'm totally opposite. Make beginners feel welcomed and allow beginner questions.

Too often as a beginner you find a new subject you enjoy and so you go online to find communities with similar interests just to be hit in the face by a community that resents you, harshly criticises you and doesn't take into account that you may be a beginner and it totally de-motivates your interest in the subject. I don't want /v/programming to have a hand in making beginners abandoning the subject, there isn't enough people who can program in the world as it is. Sure make an FAQ for the routinely obvious and nooby questions, but some beginner questions I believe are valid.

This is why I HATE the majority of Indie devs - "We are developers, not gamers" submitted by DoNotTrustMe to gaming

Does a developer have to be a gamer to make games?

Also, stop crying in the comments because some people downvoted you and won't write out long passaged of text to explain their opinions to you. God, what a cry-baby.

I dunno man, what's so bad about it? Finished work early in the day, good pay, keeps you healthy and you get to ride around on the back of a truck!

If this is all you want out of lie then you're not exactly living life correctly. What will you be remembered for? What have you achieved? What have you built? Sorry, but a life where the importance of your life is dependent entirely on trash is not a life worth living.

But there will always be people to do the unglamorous work while others make something of themselves.

I guess it just comes down to whether your smart enough to not spend your life putting soup cans in a bin. But sure, goodluck to your legacy.

If Reddit did something like this then people would be shitting all over the mods.

People are kissing the arse of moderators on this website way too much. Voat is inevitably going to go down the same road as Reddit, people are just not critical of moderator decisions enough.

If I delete something, it should be gone, completely. Sure, keep the username registered, but all content and history of that username should be gone.
