Can we talk about how biased the Wikipedia article on Gamergate is?... submitted by Wazzup to KotakuInAction

Let me guess, you got banned for it. - It really bites that such an important and widely used resource is contaminated by the SJW plague, and there's no known cure.

Why did you pick your username? submitted by Snorlax to AskVoat

I suffered from some really bad social anxiety problems when I was younger and was ridiculously quiet through much of elementary school and the beginning of highschool. A matter of fact, I remember somebody mentioning a game I liked, suddenly speaking up (albeit quietly), and a couple of classmates of mine looking over at me shocked since they hadn't heard my voice for so long. - Anyways, I ended up being nicknamed Mute in grade 8 and I guess I just liked the sound of it. As I came out of my shell a little more in highschool I really began to use it and now it's one of my more frequently used usernames.

How should we deal with the migration of corrupt reddit mods to voat? submitted by MadKnightHatter to KotakuInAction

I second this. The last thing we want is to have jumped ship to Voat just to have it sunk the same way. Growth needs to be welcomed, obviously, as more growth means more content, but the more people we have to deal with the harder it gets to control. - A solution to this isn't easy to come by though. Assuming we can place our trust in the Voat admins to stay to their word and value free speech and avoid censorship and time and/or growth won't change their interests, a simple forum like /v/modaccountability that Ishmaels_Gazebo linked could work. So long as the Voat admins don't fuck anything up, there'll be a good change. We have a clean slate here, let's hope the second time's a charm.
