When things get too circlejerky, I like to do a text replace on it.

(I use the add-on FoxReplace)

Toes are dumb.

I say this as someone who has had surgery on both my big toes to fix repeated ingrone toenails.

What is going to make windows 10 so great? submitted by SkepticalSquirrel to AskVoat

TauPhi 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

As someone that is using a windows 10 preview build right now, things that are nice:

  • Multiple Desktops
  • Updated Graphics
  • Cortana Integration
  • Seamless flow between metro and desktop
  • Improved keyboard shortcuts for moving windows around the screen

Probably some other stuff that I'm forgetting because I'm just used to it now.

  • Free (windows has a lot to gain by becoming free, it's free)

Had no idea that required ccp. Still trying to get some more, but it's less necessary now that the upvoat limit has been increased.

And yeah, there are fewer communities, but otherwise it's great! I'm definitely here to stay.

U.S. citizens of Voat: which state is the worst to live in and why? submitted by Norce to AskVoat

TauPhi 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

Truly, America is great in spite of, not because of New York and California.

While you may not like to live there, I don't think it's good to ignore the contributions that New York and California make to the US as a whole. New York, NY is the art capital of the world, as well as the biggest city economically in the states. Silicon Valley in California is known for being home to a majority of the tech giants who have shaped the world we live in today. Los Angeles and Hollywood serve as the center for movies in the US, as well as to some extent, in the world. California alone is the most populous state, and even standing on its own, ranks as one of the largest economies in the world.

So to say that NY and CA are holding back the US is a bit misleading.

Then again, you could be talking about political ideology, in which case you can just ignore everything I've said.
