If that was your child I hope you would also have the common sense to know that schools are required by law to make sure any medications taken by children are prescribed to them and taken in the correct dosage.
My wife works as an admin in a government daycare facility and has to deal with kids and their parents who are briefed over and over and required to sign paperwork stating they know the rules about bringing meds into the facility. At least once a week some parent flips out because a non-labeled inhaler or zip-lock bag of ibuprofen is confiscated from a child. It is the parents responsibility to notify the school or daycare that a child has a new medical condition which may require them to self medicate.
