Mods of r/programming and r/linux are deleting threads about github.com's new, racist code of conduct submitted by gaftra to MeanwhileOnReddit

Then block /v/MeanwhileOnReddit. No need to tell us that you don't care.

A mathematician may have uncovered widespread election fraud in Kansas, and now Kansas is trying to silence her. submitted by gbj1301 to news

SecureRhino 0 points 35 points (+35|-0) ago

Of course electronic voting is problematic. And the pure act of Kansas denying her to check the paper trail smells of fraud. Even worse that most places apparently don't even have a paper trail.

I've found seven diagnostics/outbound connection attempts in Windows 10 thus far.. submitted by GDHPNS to technology

There's no harm in compiling a list for all those people who don't want all this stuff. The windows store has a good reason to use the internet connection, but if somebody doesn't use it there's no harm in blocking it. If only somebody had made a list of things that connect to the internet so I can check if I want to block them.

How can America fix it's endemic police brutality problem? submitted by GOT to AskVoat

SecureRhino 3 points -1 points (+2|-3) ago

I'm just saying that maybe the real problem isn't that they are black, but that they are poor. That doesn't excuse anyones actions, but it changes the problem we have to solve.

Of course she removed the thread with 300 upvoats, it didn't have a questionmark. It's rule number one and she removes all posts without questionmark. Is that overly harsh? Yes. Was it wise to do it in this case? No. Is it in any way related to the content of the post? No.

I don't see how it puts her ability or integrity as mod in question. She treated the post just like every other post (deleting it for a clear-as-day rule violation).
