Sandra Bland's Arrest and the Expectation of Meek Subservience submitted by SGCleveland to Libertarian

Did you even read the article? He didn't claim the dashcam footage showed the cop acted illegally. That's what's so scary You can be stopped for any reason, even something as minor as a not signaling when changing lanes, and if you don't show deference to the police officer, you can be removed from your vehicle and arrested. And while we don't know how she died, it's clear she would be alive today if (A) she had meekly submitted to the will of the state or (B) the state hadn't overreached and arrested someone just because they were mad they were getting a ticket for not signalling while changing lanes (something any reasonable person might be mad about).

But if you want to claim overreaches of state power are offtopic in a libertarian forum then you're going to be very disappointed by libertarian forums.

Even with all the issues libertarians complain about, and all the potential for improvement in these countries if markets were further liberalized, the economies of the US, Britain,...

15 Years of Stimulus, and Nothing to Show submitted by figeater to Libertarian

SGCleveland 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Somewhat interesting, but I notice there aren't any charts actually talking about the "stimulus" of the last 15 years. What counts as stimulus, and how does it compare to the previous time periods? This whole post is about proving how bad the last 15 years were, but I doubt anyone would seriously...
