I write and edit game reviews/articles myself, so I understand your point. However unlike mine, which are between 500 and 1000 words, the above work is a 2300-word editorial. At that length it's difficult not to veer into the vague at times.

I don't think this PCMR would become like Big Redd's. I arrived here this morning after discovering I'd been shadowbanned over there for not keeping a 10:1 ratio on one of my many game-related subreddits. VOAT is young, supports freer expression and we can all get to know each other better here.

Another good example is The Elder Scrolls Online. It earned a mixed reputation for its entire first year. But now that subscriptions are gone, the servers are fixed and DLC is regularly added, the game is actually quite fun. If only they would add Steam achievements!
