The eternal moderation dilemma, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this one submitted by Atko to announcements

My two cents:

Default subs should play by different rules. I don't see an issue with FPH because they aren't a default. AskVoat was a default so that, to me, was the biggest issue. Due to this, either AskVoat needs to be taken over and restored to default or a new sub needs to be defaulted to take its place.

That sounds like a great idea. The best way to stop the internet from doing something is to tell them not to do it.

And then removing the post on it? I see nothing that could go wrong here.

Trump having this much support surely shows that name recognition really matters. There can't be that many people out there who actually like his polices.

Soylent isn't actually a soy product. It is just named after the product in the book Make Room! Make Room!

It is named after the product from the book Make Room! Make Room! And yes as someone pointed out, it is not the same as the movie Soylent Green. The movie added the whole cannibalism thing.

For a long while the Soylent guys never addressed the connection with the movie. I imagine they hoped it'd just go away or people would get over it. Now they do humorously acknowledge it on their website with a tiny blurb.
