17 year-old here, but I like to think I'm mature. I'm a stupid annoying prick in real life, but I try to be thoughtful and polite on the internet.

A well-known and much-photographed black-maned lion affectionately named Cecil was killed by sport hunters just outside Hwange in Zimbabwe last week. submitted by catfaceddog to news

If the lion is much-photographed, why doesn't the article include a photograph? That's really why I clicked the link.

EDIT: For anyone else who wants a pic

I agree, egalitarianism is a better word for it (though it's a bit of a mouthful). The brand is more inviting to men whose only experiences with "feminism" have been on the receiving end of hatred from mental tumblr users. However, I think you'll find that the vast majority of real feminists have egalitarian principles. These are, unfortunately, a mostly silent majority.

Is egalitarianism a better, more encompassing name? Yes, absolutely. Does it really matter? I don't think so. There are bigger problems than which name we use for the same thing. Egalitarianism and feminism are principally the same, and both have the same end goal: For men and women to be equals in society. Both movements recognize that the vicious cycle of SJW/MRA (who each artificially prove the other's point - think about it) is a problem that needs to end.

So yes, while I do prefer the term egalitarianism, I just want to raise awareness that not all feminists are scumblr-type misandrists.
