Like this guy says, the Amazon myth may be based on real tribes who used female warriors to some extent, specifically the Sarmatians and Scythians.

Archaeological evidence suggests that Scythian-Sarmatian cultures may have given rise to the Greek myth of Amazons. Graves of armed females have been found in southern Ukraine and Russia. David Anthony notes, "About 20% of Scythian-Sarmatian "warrior graves" on the lower Don and lower Volga contained females dressed for battle as if they were men, a phenomenon that probably inspired the Greek tales about the Amazons."

The theory is that Sarmatian men would be out raiding for months or even years at a time, and the women would stay behind and defend the homeland. Outsiders came across all-female or partially female defense forces, and the stories were exaggerated over time.

Labour supporter: "I'm voting [for the UK to remain under EU rule] because Britain's loss of independence IS JUSTICE FOR COLONIALISM." submitted by ShitArchon to tumblrinaction

Colonialism is awesome. Here's a little anecdote about the British empire:

A story for which Napier is often noted involved Hindu priests complaining to him about the prohibition of Sati by British authorities. This was the custom of burning a widow alive on the funeral pyre of her husband. As first recounted by his brother William, he replied:

"Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs."

Due to their own cultural relativist bullshit, these trendy leftists would have to admit that they would oppose intervention when a young woman is being fucking burned alive. It's either that or admit that Western culture really is superior and colonialism was a gift to the 3rd world.

I think it's a necessary alternative to Youtube ads. Right now I just run Adblock and use Patreon to support people who deserve it, like h3h3 productions. I would much rather support artists directly than watch the same Budweiser commercial 15 times and...

Yeah h3h3 has the best goofs and gaffes on the web. I feel you on the Patreon thing. It's awesome when people get paid for quality stuff, but some people are making fat stacks for doing jack shit.

I've been waiting for this. After years of mostly ad-free shows and movies, I have a deep hatred for ads. They're just grating. The last thing I want when I'm watching massage videos before I sleep is some noisy commercial about some shit I don't care about. But I also don't want my favorite content...
