City folk of Voat, why do you guys think you're better than rural people? submitted by KKKTranny to AskVoat

Nyutral 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

Boring as this may be, I don't think one is better than the other as an absolute. Each area has different strengths and weaknesses. Add to that that individual people in each will also have their own strengths: there exist some city folk that work harder than some country folk.

If we want definite conclusions, we'd need to narrow the question and define the terms. "Better" in what sense? More physical work? What type of "bullshit"? Some topics that would bother city folk wouldn't bother country, and some topics that bother country folk wouldn't bother city folk. Pick a topic and I can try to give a more detailed answer if you like.

Of course, if the goal is to watch people who are different fight, that's probably easier when using broad generalities.

Yeah, every massive movement has its extremist wingnuts. That said, I'd be interested to see some data on the data spread of the various political parties and movements, because some will have larger sections of "extreme" than others.

Oh, don't misunderstand, it's still an article worth reading despite its hyperbole and I'm glad to have seen it. The sub is probably a better place now that it's here. I'm just trying to find a way to shore up its weak point; the incorrect implications in its title.

Did anyone else start feeling scared of the orange envelope on Reddit? submitted by imhereforfruits to AskVoat

Is this analogy comparing all other races to shit? Or just brown ones? Either way. this seems like the opposite extreme, and possibly the worse one. "Everyone with this color is good" vs "everyone with this skin color is bad" are both black and white thinking in a very grey world. I try to judge...
