If they stop the natural process of evaporation wouldn't that in some sense make things worse? I get that it will keep millions of gallons of water in the reservoir for people to use, but isn't that millions of gallons of water that could also help form rain clouds and precipitation both there and elsewhere in the state?

That seems logical. In the case of a lot of celebrity figures, even bad press serves the purpose of keeping them in the media and ultimately known to more people.

Still using Windows but slow transition to Linux question. submitted by roznak to technology

If your just going to use it to browse around the web and things like that you can always just use a live boot usb. I started dual booting Mint with Windows not that long ago and it was relatively painless for someone who had never tried to dual boot before. Since then I almost never use Windows at all. Thanks to search engines transitioning isn't that difficult, Linux forums are full of people willing to help other users. I keep my Windows partition for games that don't run on Linux and the fact I have yet to try Wine. If it wasn't for that i probably would have wiped my Windows partition entirely by now.
