Could America be ready for a transgendered president? submitted by KKKTranny to AskVoat

I don't think so, and i'm a supporter of trans-rights.

Hell, I don't even think America would be ready for an openly homosexual president. A large number of Americans are quite conservative when it comes to social values, I know that the typical 'WASP' voter associated with the Republican party would be massively unlikely to support a trans candidate on moral grounds alone.

Maybe in a decade or two the issue of transgender will become less polarising (similar to the growth in support for gay rights) and then perhaps America would be ready.

I agree with this. I'm not a Catholic at all but I do respect the Pope for putting a greater emphasis on enviromental protection as well as supporting economic aid to the poorest in society.

It's quite crazy to me that Pope Francis seems much more modern in terms of values when compared to his predecessors, but apparently he chose his name after Francis of Assisi who was known for compassion and helping the poor.

Out of all the japanese shoegaze i've listened to this is my favourite. Just love the textures and the slow/chill vocals, but on top of that the pacing is pretty strong for the most part. The way some of the songs are fairly relaxed and dreamy, and can lead into quite strong climaxes just creates to many images in my head!

Hi everyone, I'm the new mod of /v/shoegaze. If you have any ideas or requests for the sub feel free to post them here. submitted by GropeForLuna to shoegaze

I think maybe modern or obscure releases, because most people would have listened to the 'classics' I'm guessing.

Just some ideas:

Grouper - Dragging a Deer up a Dead Hill

Mass of the Fermenting Dregs - World is yours

Kinoko Teikoku - eureka

Hibou - Sunder
