It says "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms", not "the right of the Militia to keep and bear Arms". And it's a right, which cannot be taken away, the Bill of Rights is merely listing (some) of your rights. If it can be taken away, it's a privilege, not a right. "Bill of Privileges" huh.
