This is an extremely well written piece that will be lost on the majority of those that bother to muster the energy to read the entirety of this ten-page document.

Netflix Changing User Reviews, Dumps Star Ratings submitted by pcdude to news

So...as a Netflix subscriber, how will I find all of those horribly-bad-but-fun-to-watch 1 star movies that I enjoy so much?

They're killing an awesome category!!!

(Seriously)

Not just the 1 per centers anymore, now all families who like nice neighborhoods and good schools are racist and create poverty submitted by lettersofmarque to news

Same here.

My "privilege" started out with being born to a single mom in a religious, rural community, growing up in a trailer park while receiving food assistance and second hand clothes, got a dad at 6 years old (+2 siblings eventually), barely had a working car ever, got our first colour TV (13") when I was 10, cable when I was 14. Never had a computer or video games, or allowance. Babysat my much younger siblings each and every summer for free because we couldn't afford daycare. Blah, blah, blah, etc.

I've busted my ass doing top quality work at shitty-to-mediocre jobs so that I could climb out of the pit that my parents built for me with our "privilege".

I finally am a responsible home owner with a few cool things with which I occupy my time and I'll be damned in anyone is going to tell me that I got to where I am today because of my so-called "privilege".

They should refer to it as "hard work" instead - like the old folks ahead of us did.

Ha! You regurgitated that right wing propaganda so smoothly that I almost thought that you were one of the dim that is stupid enough to believe it.

Good one - you really had me there. ;)

Students Denounced As Racist For Wearing US Flag Colors submitted by BlackLabel to news

Flag waving is already pompous, nationalist horse shit, but calling it racist is utterly foolish and ignorant.
