That right there tells you life on another planet would be utterly alien to us. I mean, look at life on our own planet and how different from us it is in pretty much every way.

The only thing that orca is curious about is how dog tastes.

More proof the U.S. Gov. cares more about self interests and short term goals. U.S. House committee approves anti-GMO labeling law submitted by Ex-Redditor to Conspiracy

I love the names they give these laws, the "Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act". What a farce, you can pretty much guarantee that the actual content of the law will be the exact opposite of what they're calling it.

Buying organic veggies at the supermarket is a waste of money submitted by AgriGrunt to news

Isn't fertilizing the fields with 'pig shit' really just an age old method of fertilizing? I mean, why front load it with that emotional terminology if you aren't trying to bias it right off the bat, as if it's something abnormal? Animal feces tends to be pretty damned good at replenishing the soil, and there's nothing nasty about it if it's done right. Maybe the way they were doing it in Mexico wasn't correct, but there isn't anything wrong with the premise of using it to begin with.

I guess we'd all rather have some nice Monsanto fertilizer that's 'safe and clean' instead?

Don't try to delegitimize the fact that there are real concerns with pesticides-both organic and non organic. You really have to watch out for your health, because corporations aren't going to do it for you. Use your head and KNOW where your food comes from. Try to buy local, visit the farms where your food comes from and get a better idea of how it's produced. Ask questions. Yes there are lots of big box brands that are festooned with organic buzzwords, and if you do a little research you'll find they are owned by the Big Food companies like Kraft. Don't buy those.

Yes, it's a pain in the ass, but you are responsible for yourself. If you value your health it's not such a terrible investment of time to care just a little and educate yourself about what goes inside your body. If you think Big Ag and Big Chemical are telling you the truth about the products they are coating your food and items with, you are a fool. I hardly think trying to crusade for the anti-organic establishment shows very much research beyond what readily confirms your already held beliefs.

Chiara Vigo: The last woman who makes sea silk submitted by LiberAbyss to QuantumTavern

I once channeled my iced coffee from Starbucks, and magically spun amazing thread from the straw papers. It was glorious, glorious I tell you. Afterwards I wove it into a hat that shone like the headlights of a thousand Prius cars, but no one knows how it's done nor will I ever give up the secret!

As Uncle Al says "Be not hasty to condemn others; how knowest thou that in their place, thou couldest have resisted the temptation? And even were it so, why shouldst thou despise one who is weaker than thyself?"

It's not their fault they don't know the magickal powers of Hibiscus tea.
