I never really tagged people I liked so if a tagging system gets implemented, hopefully I'll only need it if my philosophy changes.

Also, not automatically upvoating yourself seems weird, but also less narcissistic.

Yeah, I would like this to be a place where I can get a since of the goings-on and opinions of the rest of the world. If I want a US-centric view of world politics or events, I can just have a discussion at work.

If you were in a spaceship that could travel faster than light, what would be the chances of eventually running into something if you never stopped? submitted by vroomvroomeeert to science

Space isn't empty, but the pockets of matter that exist are interspersed by literal astronomical distances. When Andromeda and Milky Way intersect in a few billion years, the only stars affected will just being flung to the deepest reaches of space by the gravitational effects.

Also consider the expansion of the Universe. It's expanding from all points, so if you point in a straight line, by the time you get to whatever star is currently in your path, space will have pushed it out of the way.

The only edit I'm really interested in is The Empire Begins, which edits the entire prequel trilogy into a single movie.

I'll probably knock out the movies over the coming week, because what I really want to do with Star Wars is evaluate for myself the merits of Machete Order.
