I feel a lot better now about having not seen a YouTube advertisement for years.

Uh... no. Talk about missing the point entirely. The whole reason people flocked to Voat is because of the very complaints that WaPo attempts to marginalize. In effect, if these "crybabies" didn't exist, then neither would this community.

I'm not here to make friends; I'm here to do a job. Some of the best engineers I've known have lived by this philosophy. They can be absolute joys to be around, but they're undeniably good at their job.

Russia Warns US Any Strikes On Syrian Army Would Lead To War: "Our S-300, S-400 Defenses Are Up And Running" | Zero Hedge submitted by kona_mocha to news

If any of that were true, then Russia would attack. The last decade has shown clearly that Putin is willing and eager to pounce on weaker, lesser-equipped neighbors. If NATO really posed no threat whatsoever to the Russian war machine, then Eastern Europe would already be a part of the Motherland. Reality trumps propaganda. Every. Single. Time.

Edit: Downvoat to preserve your echo chamber all you want. Reality still wins. Putin is still in Russia. Your fantasy is still a fantasy.

Insulin price spike leaves diabetes patients in crisis - "in 2001 had the wholesale price of $45. By last year, the cost had skyrocketed to $1,447" for the same monthly supply. submitted by cynoclast to LateStageCapitalism

Latent autoimmune diabetes of adults; it's where the immune system of an otherwise healthy adult attacks and destroys what has to date been a functioning pancreas. They aren't born with it; they develop the disease later in life. It's right in the fucking article.

And yeah, I came across ignorance, then took the time out of my day to hunt down information for you to enlighten yourself, all for your own benefit. But instead of taking advantage of that, you'd rather defend your ignorance, because you can't for a minute think that maybe, just maybe, that shit poured in between your ears by some other ignorant fuck might be wrong.

So... I guess that was my point, bub.

Thre election polling was so off because many Trump supporters held "both a public and a private position". submitted by HomerChimpson to Showerthoughts

Yeah, so in the highly urbanized areas that you guys have been so keen to point out on the electoral map makes up a tiny fraction of the country's landmass, you might find yourself having to defend your positions, but in the other 98% of the country those of us with Bernie stickers found our cars and houses being vandalized. So take the persecution complex and stuff it. It doesn't suit you when you make up more than half the population, and if you don't, then your guy was illegitimately elected, so pick your fucking poison.
