Criticizing a female scientist's paper is now "Bullying and Harassment" submitted by MaunaLoona to science

KentBrockman 0 points 58 points (+58|-0) ago

To save you the trouble, here is the controversial text from their article.

TRIGGER WARNING: sexual harassment, bullying, graphic violence, threats of violence, and adult explosions

Just kidding. As a scientist I'd say it's a tad unprofessional, but I've seen far worse (between male scientists). Rivalries like this happen all the time, and they often get personal.

As somebody once said, the worst moments in a woman's life are when she is treated like a man.

After claiming there's nothing anti-white about Dear White People, the writer of the show literally tweeted "F*ck White People" submitted by Rebel_Media_FTW to news

KentBrockman 2 points 44 points (+46|-2) ago

Some other highlights from his twitter:

No seriously. Fuck white people.

(followup to tweet above)

“Basket of deplorables” was bad rhetoric, but not inaccurate. The sexism, homophobia and racism of many Trump supporters are deplorable.

LITERALLY NAZIS

Depression and anxiety are hard enough to deal with. This election makes them both so much worse.

Are there any SJWs that aren't mentally ill?

Every single new Donald Trump story at this point makes me feel physically ill.

LITERALLY SHAKING

It's scary that we live in a time where "social justice warrior" is an insult. As though fighting for social justice is a shameful thing.

When you do it by insulting, marginalizing, and silencing people, it is.

I love Hillary Clinton. America needed her, but apparently we didn’t deserve her.

'nuff said.

Here's my favorite part:

  • Visiting the user page of an account that has been permanently suspended will indicate that the account has been suspended and will not display any other data.
  • Visiting the user page of an account that has been temporarily suspended will not give any indication that the account is currently suspended.

What they will do is suspend accounts for 99 years (or some other very long period of time). That way a person is effectively suspended forever, but you'll never know it by looking at their profile page.

Dow drops 1000 points, suddenly the economy is trump's fault submitted by Pwning4Ever to news

KentBrockman 2 points -2 points (+0|-2) ago

Trump (correctly) called out the bubble in the stock market when he was a candidate. But after he was elected, he took credit for the huge gains in the market, even though none of the fundamentals had changed and it was still a bubble. So now he will take the blame, and there's nothing he can do about it. He will also take the blame when the economy crashes thanks to the recent tax bill, regardless of the actual cause.

Scott Adams' Blog (Tucker Carlson induces cognitive dissonance in Bill Nye) submitted by Hertz- to news

Gotta agree... I watched a few minutes and he wouldn't let Nye talk for more than 5 seconds at a time. Not his best interview.
