Getting banned from MMO type games because my character's name was too offensive? submitted by BadRice89 to gaming

It's a bit of a stretch, but could there be someone that is extremely butthurt from playing against you in one of those games? I know a lot of people who play MMO's have accounts on others that are usually the same or very similar names, so maybe they went across all the popular games and reported the name to get you banned, hoping that it's the same person on each one.

It sounds a bit farfetched, but from the way I've seen some people play these games too seriously (old room mate), it doesn't sound out of the realm of possibilities.

Hopefully all goes smooth. I think it would be perfectly fine to downgrade to something that doesn't need so many player slots. 300 just seems like it's overkill.

Something went wrong with the server and there was a ton of bugs that were granting anyone creative mode and admin privileges. The database was even corrupted so the world could not be rolled back, either.

The only thing to do to get people able to play again was to make a new world and delete the old one. Everyone is starting from scratch again.

XII was one of my favorites. I put about 60 hours on it when I first got it then put it down for some reason. Earlier this year I decided to pick it up again and I found out I had saved just before the final boss. I tried it and got my ass kicked, but while going through how I had my gambits set up I said to myself, "what the hell was I thinking?" Everything was out of order and I had health spells way too far down on the list and at way too low of a percentage for when they take priority. That and buffs. Once I noticed what Bubble did, I put that at the top of the list.

I organized all my gambits and took another shot at it and beat the final boss with no problem at all.

The chocobo race is probably more frustrating that the lightning bolts. There are some techniques that work quite well for dodging them, one of which is a predictable pattern once you get the hang of the motions.

The change from their two rotor to four seems like it would make it a lot more maneuverable. I can't wait to see a full sized and manned version.
